A color postcard of carnations on a metallic gold background, circa 1909. The poem on the front reads: “I find earth not gray but rosy, Heaven not grim but fair of hue. Do I stoop? I pluck a posy. Do I stand and stare? All’s blue.”. The postcard was postmarked Bisbee, Arizona November 1909, 9 AM and was sent to Miss Dela Qualls, Madisonville Kentucky. The message on the back in pencil reads: “"Miss Dela Qualls , Dear cousin I will you letter I received a few days ago tell Lasker to write to you I will the write soon and I and love everyone."
