Baker from Port Townsend, Washington”. The postcard was postmarked Shelton, Wash. Jan 2 1939 9:30 PM and was sent by Bessie to Mrs. H. Cain Bisbee Arizona 1989. The message on the back in pencil reads: “Mrs. Roony 323 Cookson St. Shelton, Wash Dearest Eva First sending a card to let you know how much Uncle Fred has been. He his (sic) in the hospital for 6 days now, improving slightly. yesterday he wasn’t feeling so well. I am going up to see him now. I will let you know again soon. Aunt Bessie xx. The postcard was published by Curt Teich Colortone, Chicago, Illinois and was sent with a green one-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp. Calvin Cain Collection.
