The front caption at the top left reads: “The Shirley Hotel, Denver, Colo.” The postcard was postmarked Denver, Colo. May 12, 1919 and was sent by D. J. McFlurse Denver, Colorado to Miss Eva Beezley Box 2021 Bisbee, Arizona. The message on the back in ink reads: “Eva & Dorothy I am here at present hope you are well. I feel pretty fair. I hope you are doing good at piano lessons. will see you soon again. your grandpa D. J. Mc Flurse Denver Colorado” The postcard was published by the E. C. Kropp Company, Milwaukee and was sent with a red, two-cent George Washington stamp. Calvin Cain Collection.
