The front caption at the bottom right reads: “Gould and Curry Crew About 1870 Virginia City Nev.” The postcard was postmarked Zephyr Cove Nev June 27, 1956 1 PM and was sent by Helen Wallace to Mrs. Maud Lamb P. o. box 268 Bisbee, Ariz. The message on the back in blue ink reads: “Dear Mother, Could anyone of these be Grandpa? We will go to Salt Lake City tomorrow. I imagine we will be home in about 10 days. We have not heard a word since we left Wilbur's seems so long. Do hope everything is fine. Love, Helen. (Notation on card reads "Sent by Helen Wallace to her mother.")” The postcard was sent with a red two cent Thomas Jefferson stamp and the publisher is unknown. Mary Jane Hawkins Collection.
