A studio portrait of Thomas Newton Ewing by Harris. Born about 1850, he served in the Civil War, then came west. He took payrolls into Mexico for the mines. He had a ranch in the San Pedro Valley. He was a partner to L.C. Shattuck. In 1912 he went to the Soliders Home in Sawtell, California. He died in 1929. This is the full photo from 1975.101.1.
