Granite Dells is a formation of granite that dates back 1.4 billion years to the Precambrian period, it’s rounded appearance is caused by a phenomenon called spheroidal weathering. The granite here contains a usually high concentration of uranium. This area hosts the Peavine National Recreation Trail along with Watson and willow Lake and it remains a popular site for hiking and camping.
