SUMMARY:Bisbee Walls – Past and Present with Colleen Crowlie
DESCRIPTION:Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum\nFree Online Program\nBisbee Walls – Past and Present with Colleen Crowlie\nSaturday, July 25, 2026, 11:00 AM – MST\nMost towns are not built in a steep canyon, but Bisbee was because thousands of miners needed to be close enough to walk to work. The walls erected around homes and properties are a prime example of the miners’ ingenuity. Even still, Bisbee’s present-day walls show that same level of craftsmanship. During her presentation, Colleen Crowlie, co-author of “Bisbee Walls—Past and Present,” will share the story of Bisbee’s walls, which make the town unique.\nColleen Crowlie moved to Bisbee in 1980 to work at the Cochise County Library.  She bought a house for $15,000 and had to replace a big retaining wall. This opened her eyes to rock work, as Lee Adcock spent two years, off and on, building the wall.  She loves research, photography, and walking, so “Bisbee Walls – Past and Present” was a pleasure to write.\nTo register or for more information, visit: https://tinyurl.com/BisbeeOnline07252026\n
